Up for the Match – Round 2

Following on from last weekend’s very enjoyable “Up for the Match” night with supporters of the Intermediate and Junior Football Finalist we are giving the Hurling and Camogie folk in the County the chance to meet and chat in a relaxed atmosphere tomorrow (Friday) at 9:30pm in The Bridge House, Athleague.

Athleague and Four Roads meet in the Camogie Final on Saturday at 4pm in Rockfield and on Sunday at 3:30pm Oran take on Four Roads in the Senior Hurling Final in Athleague.

We are urging all Hurling and Camogie supporters, and in particular those of the Finalists, to come out in great numbers to “Up for the Match” to make the night a success. There will be music, song and stories as well as interviews with ex players and current officers. Light refreshments will be served, all are welcome.

A reminder that both that ahead of the Senior Hurling and Camogie Finals the future stars meet in the respective Under 16 Finals. Padraig Pearses and Roscommon Gaels meet in the U16 Camogie Final at 2pm on Saturday and on Sunday Padraig Pearses and Four Roads meet in the U16 Hurling Final at 1:15pm.
Our advice is to get there earlier to enjoy those games.

Elsewhere this weekend, there are two Adult Football Finals on Saturday evening:
Tulsk Lord Edwards and St Croans meet in the Mulryan Construction Adult Football League Division 2 / O’Gara Cup Final at 5pm in Tulsk.
In Tarmonbarry St Barrys and St Ronans meet in the Warm n’Cosy Homes Adult Football League Division 4 Final at 5pm.

Finally, best of luck to the Roscommon Under 16 Footballers against Westmeath in Round 2 of the Fr Manning Cup on Friday at 8pm in Kiltoom. They had a fine win over Louth in Round 1 last weekend.
