We recently caught up with John Moffatt of King and Moffatt Building Services. Founded by John Moffatt and Pat King in 1978 the company began as Electrical Contractors and now offer a wide range of services throughout Ireland and the UK.
John, why did King and Moffatt Building Services. become a Club Rossie Business Member?
“We have been supporting our local GAA Clubs, (John is a St. Michaels man and Pat is a Kilmore man) for many years and we wanted to extend our local support for the GAA to Roscommon GAA.”
What is your most memorable Roscommon GAA Moment?
“The 1979 National Football League (Division One) Final win.”
Who is your favourite Roscommon player of all time?
“It’s difficult to narrow it down to one so I’ll go for Gay Sheeran, Gerry Connellan, John Newton and Seamus Killoran.”

“King & Moffatt Building Services provide both private and public clients with a complete electrical and mechanical service, from design stage to the installation and the ongoing maintenance of their facilities.
We began trading in 1978 as King and Moffatt Electrical and over the years that developed into King and Moffatt Building Services.
The majority of the large prestigious industrial and commercial projects undertaken by the group have been completed in this core electrical building services area. Undertaking all genres of electrical installations, the company has the capability to provide every system from low voltage (LV) to high voltage (HV). Our new Energy Services Division offers energy expertise to aid clients in reducing their energy consumption, carbon footprint and overall operating costs. With our years of experience, knowledge and our competent workforce we can provide a complete installation right through from design to handover and maintenance.
In addition to our Headquarters located just off the Boyle Road in Carrick on Shannon, we now have Offices in Birmingham and East Croydon, London.”
Finally, who is the most fanatical Roscommon GAA Supporter who know and why?
“It has to be Gabriel Malone from Drumboylan. He attends every League and Championship game, near and far, without fail.”
