Roscommon GAA supporter David Cryan (above, right) is one of the Leaders on the new series of RTE’s Operation Transformation and he is encouraging his fellow supporters to get involved.
On this Saturday, January 13th, he is leading a walk in Castlerea, in association with Roscommon Sports Partnership and Sport Ireland, as part of National Walk Day.
Operation Transformation presenter Kathryn Thomas, and the RTE Cameras will be in attendance to film the event for their series and David has invited Junior Club Rossie Members and their families to participate.
Registration, at the Castlerea Community College Gymnasium, begins at 10am. The walk will begin at 11am and all are welcome. Junior Club Rossie Members are encouraged to wear their Jersey over warm clothing or to wear some form of Roscommon GAA Merchandise.
Special Draw
We are offering 25 Junior Club Rossie Members and (a parent or guardian), who plan on attending the event, the chance to travel on the Roscommon GAA Bus from Roscommon to Castlerea on Saturday morning. If you are interested in this opportunity please email your Junior Member’s name to junior@clubrossie.ie by 5pm tomorrow (Friday) and you will be entered into a Draw.
This winners will be notified on Friday evening.
Other walks
Walks are also being held at Padraig Pearses GAA Grounds and St Ronan’s Hall, Keadue and all three walks will begin at 11am.
