Like our adult supporters, the children of Roscommon are also missing the thrill and excitement of attending Gaelic Games during these difficult times. We were really taken aback by the beautiful self-portraits of local primary school pupils which were displayed in the Athletic Grounds, Armagh, last Saturday evening during the Roscommon V Armagh game.
This striking display of colour epitomises the feelings and emotions of every young supporter in our midst and can undoubtedly be replicated by our primary school pupils in County Roscommon. To that end Club Rossie is giving 10 lucky primary school students the chance to win a Roscommon GAA Training Jersey in our “Win a Home in London” Primary School Art Competition.
We are asking pupils to draw a self-portrait illustrating their presence at the game draped in the primrose and blue while promoting the “Win a Home in London” Draw. All entries must be on A4 size paper and in portrait format. The back of each poster must include the following:
• Child’s Name
• Child’s Class
• Child’s School
• Contact details for parent/guardian
All entries must be sent to “Club Rossie Art Competition”, Roscommon G.A.A. Offices, Astor Building, St. Ciaran’s Road, Roscommon no later than November 4th, 2020. All entries will be independently adjudicated and individually displayed on a seat in Dr. Hyde Park on November 8th – the day of the Connacht Senior Football Semi-Final.
